(which date contradicts age at death slightly as 3 Jun 1867 less 78 yrs 21 days takes the birth back to May 1789 - when a brother was being baptized - mth assumed to be correct however)[1][2][3]

Died 03 JUN 1867 Wakefield, Quebec, Canada

Gordon's article has death as Jun 1868, aged "78 yrs and 21 days" and burial cert which says died 3rd Jun, buried 5th.[4][5]

Note: entry reads: "John Wanless Saddler in Tyetholm (Town Yetholm) and Nelly Whillis had a Daughter baptized named Jean.
Eodem die (same day) George Wanless and Janet Douglas his spouse had a Daughter baptized named Janet"
Jean is assumed to be the former of the two on the same day, given the naming pattern of William & Jean's children, indicate her parents to be a John and Helen (aka Nelly).[6][7][8]
