Biography
When Mary Frances Wansley was born on June 20, 1834, in Georgia, her father, Thomas, was 51, and her mother, Jemima, was 43. She married Hiram Sanford Gaines on December 21, 1852, in Elbert, Georgia.[1] They had at least four children:
- Amanda Ophelia Gaines (1854–1941)
- James Hugh Gaines (1856–1950)
- Augustus Francis Gaines (1858–)
- Sarah E. Gaines (1859–)
She was widowed in 1863 and I am unsure what happened to her after that. [2]
