Research Notes

The Warburton and Dutton families are two well known Cheshire families, they are landowners and have represented the area in parliament. It would be interesting to see where Joseph and Martha link into this family See https://www.britainexpress.com/counties/cheshire/houses/arley.htm

possible parents of Joseph :-

John Warburton born about 1766 (age 22) of Northwich married Ann Podmore (age 21) on 15 March 1788 in Nantwich, Cheshire, England.[7]

Hi Anna

I have added some notes to Joseph's profile. The Warburton and Dutton families are local landowners here in Cheshire and it would be interesting to see if they are a part of these families

All the best Janet

This is fascinating to me because Warburton-976 is somehow related to me. Check this out... Mary (Cumpsty) Warburton (1831-).

She is an ancestor but I can't find the Joseph Warbuton she married. There are many of them. There is a connection though because Warburton-976 was among some DNA ancestors from another family tree and related to me. It was from the Tovey family tree in Ancestry.

A found some interesting papers on the Warburtons of Arley Hall: There is a PDF file called The Warburtons of Arley Hall that names the families that lived in Arley Hall. YOu have to google that title.

Hi Anna

Arley is a lovely old house and the gardens are great, I did a gardening course there years ago.

The current Viscount Ashbrook is a character.

Will reply to your other message tomorrow
