Biography

Frances Ward was born on December 8, 1772. She married Rev. John Lee on December 28, 1791. She died on April 30, 1855, in Lawrence, Ohio, and was buried in Ironton, Ohio[1].

Marriage & Issue

Frances Ward, daughter of Thomas Ward (1750-1793) and his wife Sarah [2], married John Lee, and had the following children:

  • Sarah (Sallie) Lee (1793-1865) – married Samuel Henry (1789-1845)
  • Elizabeth Lee (1794 – 1877) – married James Henry (1790-1839)
  • Martha (Patsy) Lee (1795-1877) – married Christian Yingling (1788-1856)
  • John G Lee (1797 – 1860)- married Susan Frans (1804-1841) in 1823 and Nancy Frans (1810-1876)in 1841
  • Mary Lee (1801-1872)- married Joshua Kelly
  • Peninah Lee (1802 - ?)
