Biography

Marjory was born in 1910 at Armadale, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. She is the daughter of Charles Ward and Evelina Robjohns.

Margery was involved in organising hospital events and fundraising in Sydney for 9 years from 1929 through to her marriage engagement in 1938. [1]

Margery married Arnold Carr at St Marks Church, Darling Point, Sydney, NSW, Australia on 2 December 1938.[2] The couple initially moving to the house at "Tynside", his family's pastoral property outside Orange. The house was designed by Arnold's brother; architect, Hedley Carr.[3]

In 1946, Marj and Arnold were living at The Trig, their grazing property at Springside, south west of Orange, New South Wales. [4]
