Neil cofounded the Orange-Crush Company in 1911 with Clayton J. Howell.
He developed the formula for Orange Crush in 1915 which was originally called “Ward’s Orange Crush”.
Orange-Crush Company was incorporated August 16, 1916.
May 17, 1920 Neil submitted a patent for a dispensing apparatus for Orange Crush soda.
1931, Neil is elected chairman of Orange Crush.
He passed away in October 13, 1939 in Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts, United States of a heart attack while visiting his daughter. He was buried at Saint Joseph City Cemetery in Saint Joseph, Berrien County, Michigan, United States.
