I am Effie Lillian's Grandson and Mary Ellen Ward Brandon was my Great Grandmother as well. I was very fortunate to have the privilege of meeting this wonderful funny loving woman in June of 1967. I will never forget her and how she enjoyed that television you spoke of cousin. She liked the series "Peyton Place".

Mary Brandon: Mary Brandon was my great grandmother. We visited her at least a couple of times a month. She lived next door to her daughter Florence (my grand mother) in Ringling. She was s short woman and wore high topped shoes that laced up. There is no telling how old they were but were in perfect condition. She had hair that reached to her waist and was kept in a bun. She was born in Southeastern Arkansas. It would appear her mother died giving birth to her as her mothers date of death is the same as Mary's birthdate. I remember when she bought a television. She loved to watch sports and would really get into what was happening in the game. I know she did not have much but she seemed to be happy. She had a screened front porch and liked to sit out there. She enjoyed having visitors and was always happy to see us when we came to visit.
