Research Notes

Note: The easiest doctrines have "de la Varde" as the spelling of their surname and it which was shortened to "de Varde" as well, had later become "de la Warde" and it "de Warde". possibly the W was misinterpreted as V, regardless of it was documented and published as such. As the years progressed the de and the la were dropped from their surname, to "Warde" and for some ended up as "Ward".
