Biography

Thomas Wardrobe was born in 1858 in Durham Shire, England to William Wardrobe and Elizabeth Wardrobe. He was baptized on July 7, 1858 in Whickham,Durham,England.^[1]

He married 1) Sarah J. Black in England.^[2] Together they emigrated to Australia aboard the NORTHAMPTON, arriving on Jan. 12, 1879.^[2]Sarah died in 1885.^[3]

He married 2) Angenette Rose Greentree. on July 21, 1886 in Shoalhaven, New South Wales.^[4] To this marriage she brought a daughter, Rubina Greentree.

Together they became the parents of Alice Maud (Wardrobe) Bailey, Harold Thomas Wardrobe, William H Wardrobe, Frederick H Wardrobe, Arthur David Wardrobe, Ernest Jack Wardrobe, and Harry Lindsay Wardrobe.

Thomas was a bricklayer, and taught several of sons the trade.

Thomas passed away on Apr. 20, 1934 and was buried at at Woronora Memorial Park in Sutherland, New South Wales.^[5]
