Obituary
The following was published in the evening edition of the Minneapolis Journal on Thursday, June 23, 1904:
After brooding for several days over illness which he believed incurable, Robert Ware , janitor of the Bryant school, committed suicide at midnight by throwing himself in front of a Fourth avenue car at Thirty-eighth street. E. E. Turpin, the conductor, says that the man stood beside the track and as the car approached deliberately threw himself in front of it. The wheels passed over the man's chest, bringing almost instant death, for life was extinct when he was taken from under the car.
C. L. Simons, a neighbor of Mr. Ware , says that for several days the unfortunate man had brooded over his disease an d had often said that he did not feel right and doubted if he would get well. He suffered from a chill a few nights ago and since had been acting strangely. Ware resided at 2024 Twenty-fifth avenue S. He was owner of some property and considered by friends fairly well-to-do. He is survived by a widow and two children.
