Biography

Richard married Jane or Joan Stourton, daughter of Sir John Stourton. Their marriage was referred to in an Inquisition Post Mortem taken at Bridgewater, 30th October, 1465, after the death of Robert Warre, Lord of the Manor of Hestercombe, who had died the 8th July, 1465. They were described as Richard Warre, of Hestercombe, (son and heir of Robert Warre, aged 40 years and upwards at his father's death,) and Joan, his wife, daughter of the said Sir John, afterwards Lord Stourton. [1]

He is credited with the repairing and adornment of the chapel at Hestercombe which had been in a "ruinous state". [2]

Richard died without issue 22 Edward IV (1482). [2]His heir was named as Richard the son of John Warre of Chipleigh, younger brother to John who married the daughter and heir of Combe of Dalwood.

Ware-921 and Ware-381 appear to represent the same person because: Duplicate profiles.
An Inquisition Post Mortem dated 1482 has Robert Ware as the father of Richard who married Joan Stourton. Richard Warre, of Hestercombe, (son and heir of Robert Warre, aged 40 years and upwards at his father's death,) and Joan, his wife, daughter of the said Sir John, afterwards Lord Stourton.

Richard Ware is a duplicate profile and I have proposed a merge.
