Peter was born ca 1613 to Peter and Catherine Eaton[1][2] Peter allegedly married Mary Hickes in 1629.[1]
In 1647 Peter was an attorney for Robert Lewis in York Co., VA. In 1675, Peter Ware IV sells land in Queen’s Creek, Hampton Parish, York Co., VA to Nathaniel Bacon in which he identified the land as having belonged to his father, "Peter Ware". Peter Ware passed away in 1659 but before 10 SEP 1659 in York County Virginia when Mary Hickes was identified in a 1659 Orphan’s Court document as the widow of Peter Ware, from this document it appears Mary Hickes maintained her maiden name, which was an old Welsh custom, and was likely of Welsh descent.[3]
Until recently, the father of Peter were identified as John from another lineage. The book by Wanda Ware has been superseded by the information on her website at http://warefamilyhistory.com/index.html

Re: Irish lineage, Y-DNA testing has apparently proven it false (as much as a DNA test can prove heritage given "non parental events" which can occur )based on this:
"Walter Ware of Ireland and a descendant of Sir James Ware was kind enough to do a DNA test and it did not match the DNA of the numerous descendants of Peter Ware who tested (see the DNA link to results at the top right of my webpage). This DNA chart does not show Walter Ware's test results as he is choosing not to make that public record. I have personally seen his DNA results and it was not a match."
Re: Mary Hickes vs. Mary Deny being the wife of Peter Ware-547, she had also seen this unsourced note but given the lack of proof of "Deny" or of a marriage to a Hickes post-Peter, left her birth surname as "Hickes", the name she used in orphan's court after Peter's death.
