Sarah Ware was the daughter of George Ware and Sarah Lecott.
In April 1854, Sarah left her home in Honniton, Devon, England with her brother David arriving in New Plymouth the same year.
In July 1855, she married William Sole at the home of Richard Foreman, William's stepfather.
Sarah had 14 children in her marriage. Her obituary states she had 13 children and 10 of them were living as at 1912. Mrs H Street (Hunterville), Mrs H Ainsworth (New Plymouth), Mrs Hill (Hawera), Mrs Piggot (Urenui), Mrs Freeth (Pukearuhe), George Sole (New Plymouth), Gus Sole (Bell Block), O W Sole (New Plymouth), C Sole (Stratford) and E Sole (New Plymouth).
She died in 1912 age 82 years and is buried at Te Henui Cemetery, New Plymouth. Sarah didn't leave a Will but Ernest Sole and Annie Piggot filed an Affidavit as to Sarah's affairs at the time of her death. Her obituary in the newspaper Taranaki Daily News in 1912 [1].
