Biography

Harriet Ann (Waring) Brant was born in Yorkshire, England.

Harriet Waring was born in 1883 in Mapplewell, Yorkshire to parents William and Dorothy Waring^[1][2].

Harriet married Robert Harold Brant, a miner from Mapplewell on 2 June 1903 at All Saints Church, Darton, Yorkshire^[3]. The 1911 Census, detailed below, records that they had two children at that time.

Harriet's husband Robert served in the British Army in World War 1 and his service record shows that they had a third child, Robert Harold born 2 November 1915^[4][5]. It is interesting to note that this child was given the same first names as his father, perhaps in case his father did not return from the War.

Harriet Brant died on 25 January 1939 and is recorded as living at Staincross, Yorkshire at the time^[6]. Harriet is buried at All Saints church Darton, Yorkshire ^[7][8].
