Biography

Daniel Warner, Jr. was born 25 May 1719 in Enfield Township, Connecticut Colony

Birth

Date: 25 MAY 1719
Place: Enfield, Hartford, Connecticut[1][2]

Marriage/Family

Daniel Warner Jr. married Anne Pember 24 January 1741 in Stafford, Connecticut. Daniel and Anne had the following children born in Stafford:[3]
  1. Daniel b 6 Dec 1741 m. Hannah Russell d. 30 Jul 1829 in Ellington, CT
  2. Mary b 7 Oct 1743
  3. Ruben b Nov 1745
  4. Samuel b 6 Dec 1747
  5. Phillip b Dec 1752> removed to Ellington, CT and Addison, VT m Hannah Foote of Colchester, CT
  6. Zerviah b 1754 d. 1759
  7. Thomas b 20 Aug 1756> m. Huldah Lasell 1781 at Ashfield, MA?
  8. Anna b. 15 Oct 1759  ?m Eliab Perkins 1779 at Ashfield, MA
  9. Zerviah b 17 Jun 1761
  10. Elizabeth b 24 Jun 1764 m. Robert Lasell 1786 at Ashfield, MA?

Possible Second Marriage

Several of Daniel's children (Thomas, Elizabeth and maybe Ann) ended up marrying and residing in Ashfield. As no death record for either Daniel or his wife Ann has been located, its possible that Daniel was widowed and went to Ashfield with his chlidren, and was the Daniel Warner who married the widow Mary Washburn:

From the Maltby Family Genealogies webiste[4]

Samuel Washburn (3rd) possibly died in Ashfield, MA, before 1776.[5] His widow, Mary, may have been the Mary Washburne, widow, of Ashfield, who married Daniel Warner, of Ashfield, probably as his second wife,[6] on 16 Apr. 1793 in Ashfield,[7] and she may have been living with her son, Isaiah Washburn, in the 1790 federal census. No death record was found for her in Ashfield.

Research notes

Daniel, son of John and Tabitha is referred to as Jr. to distinguish him from his uncle Daniel, who was also residing in Stafford, CT at the time of his marriage.[8]

While there is a birth record for Daniel, son of John and Tabitha Warner, and secondary sources noted here record Daniel who married Anne Pember as their son. However, I haven't seen any direct evidence confirming that they are the same. John's brother Daniel also lived in Stafford. The death notice for his wife Dinah indicated that she had five children and numerous descendants, but no other record identifying them has been found. This leaves open the possibility that Ann Pember married a son of Daniel an(d) Dinah. I could not find a probate record of John. Hopefully someone can do some research in deeds and clarify Cole-12288 01:12, 13 June 2019 (UTC)

Warner-7408 and Warner-2263 appear to represent the same person because: Same parents, birth date

More research is needed. There's much conflicting information on which Daniel Warner married who. I'm not certain that Warner-7408 is a real person.

Spouse is Elizabeth Clark, not Anne Pember, on FindAGrave https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/15338684 and familysearch https://www.familysearch.org/tree/pedigree/landscape/LJK1-XRZ . So it looks like spouse and children are wrong on this profile. Or... remove parents and merge with Warner-7408 Thank you, Teresa (WikiTree Arborist)
