When Lurline Frances Warner was born on July 28, 1923, in Winnfield, Louisiana, her father, George, was 55, and her mother, Maggie, was 30. She married Gerald Delorme Esley on July 3, 1945. They had two children during their marriage. She died on June 4, 2012, in Stockton, California, at the age of 88, and was buried there.
