Biography

Birth

Bible Record: Charles Alfred Warren was born 6 Feb 1857 on the family farm on Coomer Road near Newfane, Niagara, New York. He was the son of Barnabus Warren and Roxey Jane Lindley. Charles' birth was entered in the Warren Family Bible in the same handwriting as the births of the parents and all of his siblings. [1]

Note: It appears that the Warren Family Bible was filled out with Charles' family and given to Charles and Eva about the time they were married.

On 26 Jun 1900 at the time of the 1900 US Census, head of household Charles A. Warren (age 43, born Feb 1857 in NY) was employed as a Farmer and living in a Farmhouse he owned with a mortgage in Lockport City, Niagara, New York with his wife, Alice Warren (age 43, born Aug 1857 in CT); and their daughter, Alice F. Warren (age 13, born Jun 1887 in NY). Charles and Alice had been married for 23 years; Alice had given birth to 3 children, 1 of whom was alive at that time. Charles's parents were both born in New York; Alice's parents were both born in Connecticut. [3]

On 16 Sep 1911, Duane Ward (age 25) married Alice F. Warren (age 24) in New York, United States. Duane listed his parents as Cleland A. Ward, and Mary Forsyth McQueen; Alice's father was Charles Alfred Warren, and her mother was Alice E. Alexander. [4]

Death and Legacy

Death Certificate: Charles A. Warren died11 Sept 1902, Lockport, Niagara, NY of disease of the heart, inflammating (sic) rheumatism and thyroid [illegible word]. 45 years 7 months 7 days, male, resident of Town of Lockport for 24 years, previously resided Lockport, NY, married, farmer, born Newfane NY, father Barnabus Warren b. Clinton Co., NY mother Roxey J. Warren b. Monroe Co., NY. Burial Chestnut Ridge 13 Sept 1902. [5]

In 1902, Charles Alfred Warren died at about 45 years of age in Niagara County, New York, USA. Charles was buried at Chestnut Ridge Cemetery, Gasport, Niagara County, New York, USA. [6]
