Mae (Warren) Haynes is a part of US Black heritage.

Mae was born in Texas in 1930. She is the daughter of Andrew Warren.

Mae died (age 74) on 21 May 2004 in Portland, Multnomah, Oregon.^[1][2] Burial was in the Willamette National Cemetery, Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon.^[3]

A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 27, 2004,

in Vancouver Avenue First Baptist Church for Mae Fern

Haynes, who died May 21 at age 73. Mae Fern Warren was

born July 27, 1930, in Linden, Texas. She moved to

Portland in 1957 and was co-owner of Pink Pelican

Record Shop and a foster mother for more than 100

children, many through Oregon Adult and Family

Services. In 1989, she married Nathaniel.

Survivors include her husband; stepson, Nathaniel Jr.;

brothers, Sylvain Warren and William Warren; one

grandchild; and one great-grandchild. Her son Darzell

Mack died in 1970.
