Biography

Not a lot is known about Harris Warren. He was born 29 Aug., 1806 in Hampton, Washington Co., New York to Caleb Dennis Warren and Rachel Webster^[1][2]In the 1830s and 1840s he was living in Genesee Co., New York. First in Warsaw in 1830^[3][4] and then in Wethersfield in 1840^[5][6]. Some time before 7 May, 1839 he married Bianca Warren, her maiden name is unknown at this time. In 1840, also, he had land in Genesee Cty., NY^[7]. Note: Walter HarringtonTowns Warsaw and Wethersfield were orignally in Genesee Cty, NY, but in 1841 Wyoming Cty, NY was formed from part of Genesee county which included these villages^[8].

Some time between 1842 and 1845, Harris and his family moved to Illinois^[9]. In 1850, they were living in Howard, IL^[10] He was a blacksmith in 1850. Harris died 12 Apr., 1858 in Winnebago, Co., IL and was buried in Oakland Cemetery, Durand, Winnebago Co., IL^[11][12].
