Olive Jean Warrick Scott Lutz
Olive Jean Warrick was born on Wednesday, July 30, 1924 in Toledo, Ohio to Francis Edward (Wednesday, August 2, 1893 - Thursday, March 31, 1949) and Julia Frances Hickman Warrick (Friday, April 9, 1897 - Sunday, March 10, 1974); the fourth of five children. Jean's parents were married on Saturday, March 27, 1915. Her father began work building scales for Toledo Scale and then was a sheet metal worker for an auto body firm. Jean graduated from Scott High School with high grades, and had served as the editor of the school newspaper.
Jean met, and married, Thomas Franklin Scott on Wednesday, December, 17 1941 while in High School. They lived in Toledo a short while and had a son, Jeffrey while still in Ohio. The family moved to California where they had a daughter, Vivian. While raising the two children Jean was very active in the PTA groups and Cub Scouts and Little League - always involved with the activities with the kids. Jean and Tom later divorced, and two years after the divorce she met Charles Lutz Sr. and they were married in the LDS Temple in Santa Monica, California on Thursday, Dec. 22, 1966.
The number of children grew from two to six with Chuck's four children, Chuck Jr., Cathy, Christy and Craig, who lived with their mother. Jean had worked with Pacific Telephone Company and retired from their employ as a business office supervisor in 1980. She and Chuck moved to Fruita, CO where they built an RV park that they owned for thirteen years. During this time Jean was a member of the Planning and Zoning for a number of years, as well as many jobs with her local LDS church Ward.
They sold the RV park and built a house and a storage business that they owned for five years. Upon selling the storage business, Jean and Chuck moved to Midvale, UT to be closer to family and become "retired" until Chuck's passing on Tuesday, November 5, 2002. Jean passed away on Monday, January 30, 2012 in Cottonwood Heights, Salt Lake County, UT.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Rowland Warrick and two sisters, Lillian Thomas and Juanita Eichenlaub, first husband, Tom Scott, and also husband Charles Lutz.
