John Washer, of Chailey, and Lucy Gorringe were married in Barcombe, Sussex on 30 October 1819 [1][2]
In 1841 John and Lucy were living in a Lodging House on North Street, St. Thomas a Beckett in the Cliffe, Lewes with 10 children and Lucy's mother Hannah Gorringe[3]
In 1851 John and Lucy were living in South Malling, Sussex with five children and two grandchildren[4]
In 1861 John and Lucy were living in St Thomas in the Cliffe, Lewes, Sussex with their son James and widowed daughter Lucy Fuller and her three children[5]
