He and his family accompanied his parents to Pleasant River in 1767.

"I Wilmot Wass of Addison in the County of Washington do make & ordain this my last will & testament in manner & form as follows, viz. I give & bequeath to my loving wife Rebecca Wass one half of the dwelling house together with all the household furniture and one third part of all the Real estate upon Cape split to dispose of at her pleasure, and I give to her the improvements of all my part of the Islands with the Stock thereon while she lives. I give and bequeath to my son Wilmot Wass that --- of land that he had taken of my land on the beach parallell with his fence to the corner of his fence thence east
course to the ----, I give and bequeath to my son Stilman Wass one half of the dwelling house and two thirds of the real estate on Cape Split, one quarter of Nortons Island & Eagle Island one half of flat Island, after my wife decease.
I give and bequeath to my son Daniel Wass one quarter of Nortons Island and Eagle Island together with one acre of Marsh Island dike marsh. I give & bequeath to my sons Wilmot Wass, Christopher Wass, William Wass, James Wass, John Wass, Joseph Wass, David Wass, & Daniel Wass what remains of that lot of land that lies between Moses Plummer and Otis Smith together what remains of the dike marsh & Island. I give & bequeath to my daughters Lucy Norton, Molly Wilson, Anna Nash, Elisabeth Plumer four dollars a piece in money and a silver spoon each and I will that after accounts be settled & ---- out, what remains of the stock of cattel may be disposed os as the Executors of this will may think proper, and I do nominate constitute and appoint my son Stilman L. Wass and his mother Rebecca Wass sole Executors of this my last will and testament and I hereby do revoke all other wills heretofore made by me in ----- ,
whereof I hereunto set my hand & Seal this 3 day of May in the year of our
Lord 1824."

PROBATE OF WILMOT WASS LAST WILL
"At a Court of Probate held at the Probate office in East Machias within & for the County of Washington on the Sixth day of February in the year of our Lord Eighteen Hundred & Twenty-seven -- Whereas the instrument hereunto annexed has been presented to me as the last will & testament of Wilmot Wass late of Addison in the county of Washington yeoman deceased by Stilman L. Wass and Rebecca Wass the executors therein named and due notice thereof and of the time & place appointed by me for taking the Probate of the same has been given to the heirs of said deceased & to all persons interested this is pursuant to the order of Court, And, whereas it is proved to me by the oath of Henry Wass one of the witnesses to said will that the said instrument was signed sealed & published by the said Wilmot Wass as his last will & testament and that at the time of executing the same the said Wilmot Wass was of sane mind and it further appearing to me that the same was attested in this presence by three creditable witnesses whose names are thereunto subscribed, and it also appearing that there is no objection to said will - I do therefore by virture of the power and authority given me in & by the law of the State aforesaid hereby approve and allow fo the said instrument as the last will and testament of said deceased, and order that the same be recorded."
