Temperance, the daughter of Samuel Waters, was born February 17, 1724/5. Her birth is recorded in the Hebron Vital Records Vol. 1 p. 78.
She married Elijah Wright on August 10, 1753. Their marriage was recorded in the Lebanon Vital Records. Several Children were born to the couple at Lebanon: Chole on May 7, 1756, Elijah on February 25, 1759, Ruby ("Reube") on March 2, 1755, and Roswell on September 5, 1761. According to family records, a fifth child, Eleaser, was born January 3, 1764.
The Wright family moved to Coventry where Elijah operated a mill on what is now Silver/South Street.
Temperance Wright died at Coventry Connecticut, April 23, 1804 age 79. she was buried in the Silver Street Cemetary. The cemetary inscription is part of the Hale Collection.
