Looking for William Waters (from Barnes, Surrey) who in 1823 found a job in Cape Town. His brother, Thomas, was employed as a botanist by the British Government later went to Western Australia, where he imported grasses & grape vines from South Africa. No other info is known about William.

There are a number of Death Notices for Waters in the Cape Archives Depot, including one for a William Henry Waters, which was lodged in 1901.
