Biography
Charles Waters was born about 1812 in Monaghan, Ireland.
Charles, a carpenter by trade, was brought to Australia as a Bounty Immigrant by A.B. Smith & Co on the United Kingdom, arriving on 7 September 1841. [1]
He passed away in 1888.[2]

- 1841 – possible Marriage year of Charles Waters and Jane McDonald at Maitland
- 1841 – unable to locate any of the Waters or McDonald’s on the 1841 records
- 1870 – Death of (Jean) Jane Waters nee McDonald age 62 years wife of Charles Waters I in Bingera (Bingara) near Warialda – buried at Bangheet – Sourced from Transcript of her death certificate NSW BDM (6210/1870) – so not at Collarenebri at that time
- 1888 – Death of Charles Waters in Collarendabri (later known as Collarenebri), District of Walgett – Sourced from copy of NSW Death Certificate (NSW BDM 1888/1870)
