Mary Waters was baptized on 27 April 1806 at St. Peter's Parish Church in Blaenavon, Monmouthshire, Wales, per the church parish register, daughter of Lewis Waters and Mary Brinn. St. Peter's was a then-new church which was built for the local mining families. Her birth date is not stated and is unknown.
Mary Waters and Thomas Furlong were married at St. Michael's Parish Church in Pembroke, Pembrokeshire, Wales in 1834.
In 1841 and 1851, per census records, she was living with Thomas and their children in Trevethin, Monmouthshire, Wales. She died of pneumonia in Varteg, Trevethin. She was buried at St. Peter's Church in Blaenavon per the parish burial register.
