Biography

Ebenezer was born January 27, 1741/2 (a twin with William) at Boston to Seward Waters and Sarah Porter.[1]

After the death of Ebenezer's father, Nehemiah Porter of Scituate was appointed guardian to both Ebenezer and William on February 2, 1759.[2][3]

The heirs of his grandfather, William Waters (William Waters, James Wimble, William Wimble, Thomas Wimble, Seward Waters, Nehemiah Porter and Sarah his wife, Rebecca Waters, and William, and Ebenezer Waters, minors, Benjamin Walcot, John Butler and Rebecca his wife, and Hopestill Foster as guardian to Abigail Foster, Ann Foster, and Zibiah Foster, minors), unable to divide a house in Boston, petitioned the court to allow the estate to sell the house.[4]

These heirs sold this land January 11, 1760.[5]

Ebenezer Waters and Mary Calef published their intention to marry December 4, 1771 at Boston.[1]
