Biography

Joseph Wathen, son of Henry Hudson Wathen, III and Mary Zoralda (Spalding) Wathen, was born on 8 Sep. 1809 in Washington County, Kentucky.[1]

He married Ann C. Wimsatt, daughter of Joseph Wimsatt and Mary Stuart, on 8 Nov. 1832 at Washington County, Kentucky.[2] [1]

He was a farmer when he and Ann appeared on the census of 29 Aug. 1850 at District 2, Marion, Kentucky.[3]

Joseph died on 11 Jan. 1856 at Union County, Kentucky and was buried at Saint Ambrose Cemetery, Henshaw, Union County, Kentucky. His memorial has a photo of his headstone, biographical material and links to those of family members.[1]
