John passed away on the 25th of October in 1831.

His death was announced in the newspaper the "Bristol Mirror" of 5th Nov. 1831: "Oct 25th, at the Hotwells, aged 70, Mr John Webb Watkins, boot and shoemaker, deeply regretted by his large family and all who knew his worth."

John's Will [5] The CROWN INN at 63 Bristol Rd in Bristol, Gloucester, England. Upon his request as written in his Will, was buried in the St Andrew Church churchyard Cemetery.

Flat top with moulded edge, high moulded plinth, plain quarter balusters, inscription panels north and south with oval incised on rectangle, carved spandrels.
