Biography

Inherited Watkins Ferry, a Registered National Historical Landmark, upon the death of his father, Evan Watkins

His father, the Ferry and his home Maidstone on the Potomac are written about in the papers of George Washington. George Washington, General Edward Braddock and Daniel Boone as a wagon master crossed Watkins Ferry on the way to the Battle of Fort Duquesne.
