Biography

Nathan or Nathaniel as is recorded in some records was born in 1801 in Georgia. He was the son of Anderson and Sarah Streetman Watson. His father was a Methodist Minister, planter, and slave owner.

Nathaniel lived in Marion County Georgia and made a living as a farmer. He was first married to Lucy Roberts. They had eight children: James Anderson, John H., Sarah Ann, Susan, Arthur B., Richard E., Zilpa, and Nancy. Nathan's second wife was Susan Hutchinson. They had two children: Mary B.and Joshua.

His son, Arthur, was in the 12th Georgia Infantry. He died from fever at Bartow, Virginia on Sep 30 1861 Nathaniel lived the rest of his life in Marion County, Georgia. He passed away in 1889.

Just found out from a wiki member that Charles is his grandson Charles father is Richard E.

So who is the parents of Henry? He is on the 1870 census list as son. This cannot be possible because of age. I believe he is a grandson.

It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Nathaniel by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Nathaniel:
