Elizabeth was the eldest daughter of Robert Watson of Muirhouse, Edinburgh, Scotland and his spouse Mary Baird, daughter of Robert Baird, 1st Baronet of Saughtonhall.[1][2]
Elizabeth married Robert Dundas, Lord Arniston, Solicitor-General (Scotland) in 1717 and Lord-Advocate (Scotland)on 27 October 1712 in Cramond, Midlothian, Scotland.[3] She was his first wife.
Elizabeth cared for her youngest brother David Watson, upon the death of her parents. David would later go on to become Major-General David Watson, famous for his role in the early creation of Ordinance Surveys of the United Kingdom.[4]
She and a number of her children died of smallpox in 1733/34.
