In 1870 A. J. Watson (27, Ky, $---/$250, Farmer) is living in Patoka Township, Pike Co., Indiana. The five other people in the household are Polly (16), Nancy (13), John (12), Sarah (7), Clarinda (4), all born in Kentucky. Presumably A. J. Watson in 1870 is the same person as Amon Watson, son of William and Rebecca in 1860, and the five children in his household in 1870 are his younger siblings.
William Watson and his wife Rebecca are not in the 1870 census. They are, however, in the 1880 census. It is not clear why 5 of their children are living in Indiana with their older brother in 1870.
