James Watson and Frances Rowland were married after banns at West Hackney, Middlesex on 1st June 1857.[1] They were bachelor and spinster, both of full age and living in West Hackney. James was a labourer and the son of William Watson who was also a labourer. Frances was the daughter of John Rowland who was a farm bailiff. They each signed their own name on the register and the witnesses to the marriage were William Stretton and Ann Watson.[2]
