Biography

Sarah was born in 1850. She passed away in 1912.

When the American Civil War broke out in 1861, Sarah's two brothers enlisted in the Confederate Army, Willie in the 41st VA infantry and Charles in Archer's 3rd Bn Reserves. While Charles served through and survived the war, Willie was killed in a charge at the Battle of Seven Pines in Virginia, 1 June, 1862,"Aged 18 years, 5months, 2 days. Sarah survived the Siege of Petersburg, VA and emigrated to Halifax in 1870.
