Madeline M Mathilda Watson was born 8 February 1882 or 1887, in Montana, United States. Chose 1887 as that is what is on the headstone.

In 1900, United States Census, Mathilda is living with her birth family in Post Falls, Kootenai, Idaho, United States. She is 8, born in Montana, birth date would be 1882. She is oldest of 4 children (Andrew, Elsie, and Viola)

In 1906 Canada Census, Mathilda is single, 14 and living as servant in the home of a Robert Anderson in area of Silver Grove, Saskatchewan, east of Leask, Saskatchewan

She married Reinhold J Fischer on 12 October 1912, in Carlton, Saskatchewan, Canada.

In the 2921 Canada Census, Matilda, her husband and 5 children are living on the farm in area of Laird, and she now identifies herself as Mennonite, and of French ancestry.

In the Canada Census 1926 she is 38, last name now spelled Fisher, says she is Dutch, and living in the area of Laird, Sk.
