Job was born on 23 October 1859[citation needed] at Broomfleet Landing, Yorkshire, England. He was born to an unmarried mother.[1]
In 1880 Job married Charlotte Richardson.[2] The couple lived at Broomfleet Landing in the parish of Faxfleet, Yorkshire, in 1881 with Job's grandmother, Elizabeth Watson (born c1820 in Hatfield Woodhouse).[3] By 1891 they lived at Oxmardyke Gates in the parish of Scalby, Yorkshire. Job worked as a railway platelayer.[4] In 1901 the Watsons lived at Oak Farm in Foggathorpe, Yorkshire, and Job was a farm foreman.[5] By 1911 the family lived in Gilberdyke, Yorkshire.[6]
Charlotte died in 1919 at the age of 58.[7] Job died on 1 June 1939[citation needed] at the age of 79.[8]
