Allen Watson b. 1801 in PA d. 28 Oct 1855 in Buchanan Co, IA. He married Charity Ann Loucks and had 10 children, one was William Watson b. 1829 in Ontario, Canada. This whole family moved from Canada to Boone Co, IL early 1840's then moved to IA about 1852 from Boone Co, IL.^[1][2]

1850 Census, Belvedere, Boone Co, IL: Ellen Watson (1807 PA), Charity A Watson (1814 NY), William Watson (1829 Canada), Eliza A Watson (1833 Canada), Sarah J Watson (1834 Canada), Nelson Watson (1836 Canada), Elisabeth Watson (1838 Canada), Mary Watson (1840 Canada), Martha Watson (1842 Canada), Louisa Watson (1846 Canada), John Watson (1846 Canada), Laura Watson (1848 IL).

1856 Census Buffalo, Buchanan Iowa: Charity A Watson (1811 NY Widowed), Nelson Watson (1836 Canada), Mary Watson (1840 Canada), Martha Watson (1844 Canada), Louisa Watson (1845 Canada).^[3] Apparently the children born before 1840 except for Nelson had moved out.

Birth: 1807, Columbia County, PA. Death: Oct 28, 1855, Buchanan County, Iowa. Brother to John C. Watson, Elizabeth B. Watson Smith, Mary Ann S. Watson Smith, Sarah Watson Thomas and Hugh Watson. Allen, Elizabeth, Mary Ann and Sarah Watson Thomas and families left Elgin Co., Southwold Twsp., Ontario, Canada between 1838 and 1849. Allen and Wife then moved on to Buchanan County, IA about 1850.^[4][5]
