W L Sheppard in his article "The Watson Ancestry of Constance (Brigham) Crosby" gives John as the second son of John Watson: "John, bur. 15 March 1558/1559; probably unm. or at least without issue since no children were named in his father's will of 1568."^[1]

John Watson: Burial 15 MAR 1558/1559, Holme-On-Spaulding-Moor, Yorkshire, England. Sheppard's article states: "The parish register entries have been taken from the transcript of the Holme registers made by Mr Bartlett for the Yorkshire Parish Register Society and microfilmed by the Mormons".
