<Alice Maud Mary Watson (1889 - 1953) was born 4th June 1889 to parents John William Watson and Emmeline Thurza Mary Watson (nee Rogers).
She was always known as Maud and was the eldest of seven children to John and Emmeline, of which sadly only three survived.
She also had a half brother from mother Emmeline's marriage to Henry Bourne

Death: Alice Maud Mary Wootton died at 172 Raroa Road, Wellington on 21st December 1953, aged 64 years. Thecause of death was Coronary Thombosis (2 minutes), Arteriosclerosis of arteries, and Angina pectoris (1 year).
Maud's parents are not named on her death certificate. She wasburied on 23rd December 1953 in Karori and she was of the Anglican faith. Her death certificate names only her last two marriages - Carlson and Wootton. She was survived by one son aged 45 years.
31/12/2011 - a family bible has been found in Masterton that has WATSON family information.
The hand-written inscription on one page reads:
"Thomas Edgar Clarke, died 24th July1922. Sweet is the word remembrance and this is my wish to show that I hold you in my memory as the years may come and go." Inserted by Maud Christensen (nee Clarke).
"Moon and starts gently beaming, he is sweetly sleeping - resting at last. Life's troubles over, suffering past." Inserted by Maud Christensen (nee Clarke).
