   "John Watt lived in No 2 Dalrymple Crescent from 1867 to 1869. He was a teller with the Commercial Bank of Scotland. The Scotsman reported the birth of a son in December 1869, but by 1871 he was living at 10 Dryden Place with his wife, four children and two servants. In the census he gave his occupation as ‘Banker’. He was born in Grangemouth in 1833, and his wife, Jessie, who also came from Grangemouth, was some 11 years younger. His children were Alexander aged five, James aged four, Martin aged two, and Mary, who was one month old at the time of the census. "[1]
