Emmaline (Watts) Brewer is a part of US Black heritage.
Biography
Emmaline was born in 1842. She was a former slave, and it is believed that she was the daughter of Thomas H. Watts, a landowner in South Carolina. She was a nurse and a midwife and had cared for all people regardless of their color. She was highly respected in the town of Pageland where she lived. Her mother is believe to be Arcilla Watts, an African American woman who received a 50 acre lot of land from Thomas H. Watts. Emaline passed away in 1925.
Her great grandson, Robert C Robinson, Jr. was a Tuskegee airman who lost his life in 1945, on a mission over Hungary.
