KILLARNEY Obituary: After an illness extending over a period of 12 months there passed away at the Warwick Hospital on March 15, Mr Thomas George Watts, at the age of 63 years. The late Mr Watts, who was born in Warwick on February 1, 1881, was a son of the late Mr and Mrs Henry Sparksman Watts, one of Killarney's oldest pioneering families, and in his early days followed farming in conjunction with his father, later being employed by the Darling Downs Rabbit Board as a boundary rider, which occupation he followed up till the time of his death. Mr Watts was a keen sportsman, and will be long remembered by local footballers as a popular referee and selector, as well as being Interested In other local sporting bodies. He was also a life member of the Killarney and District Agricultural Society, for which he was a keen and enthusiastic worker, and will be remembered for his valuable assistance to the Society at show time. The Klllarney State Rural School Committee paid a tribute to the valuable service of Mr Watts as a member of that committee over a number of years. The late Mr Watts was married to Miss Annie Peters, daughter of the late Mr and Mrs John Peters, Killarney, at the Killarney Presbyterian Church by the Rev Davies, in the year 1907. Besides his widow he leaves to mourn their loss a grown family of 3 daughters and 2 sons, Mrs J. McCauley (Legume, NSW), Mrs T. Grayson and Mrs R. Grayson (Killarney), Mr O. G. Watts (Killarney), LAC E. T. Watts (RAAF), and 4 grandchildren; also 2 sisters, Mrs G. Reibelt (Killarney), Mrs Glaspool (Brisbane), and 1 brother, Henry (Bauple). One sister, Mrs L. Gillespie (Junabee), and one son, Beresford, pre-deceased him. The funeral moved from the Presbyterian Church to the Killarney cemetery, Rev A.
