In 1901, Guy married Birdie Watts in Lawrence, Kansas. They had at least two children.
In 1903, they moved to Lincoln, Nebraska, where Guy worked in the office of the Missouri Pacific railroad.
She passed away in 1960 in Wichita. He passed away in 1969 in Wichita.

Were Quietly Married—Miss Birdie Watts and Mr. Guy Lyman were quietly married at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Watts in the east part of town last evening; only the members of the families and a few intimate friends being present. The wedding ceremony was performed by Rev. M. Bamford, pastor of the First Methodist church. After congratulations and a light supper, the young people left on the night train for Kansas City, where they will make their home. The bride is well known in Lawrence, having been born and raised here, and Mr. Lyman has many friends here. He is employed in the railroad offices in Kansas City.
