Biography

Mary was born in 1931 in Farnham, Surrey. She is the daughter of Cecil Emmanuel George Watts and Edith Annie Poulter.

In 1952, Mary married Raymond Leslie Benham, with whom she would have 1 son who was born in 1954.

Research Note

We have seen the following information about Mary, all of which is unsourced. Her actual birth town is said to be Ash, Kent (about 5 miles from Farnham) with an unsupported specific date of 21 Nov 1931. Mary is also said to have died in Frimley, Surrey on 21 May 2010, but this too is unsourced. If anyone can provide confirmation of this, we would be pleased to hear. We also saw a marriage record for a Mary A Benham in Aldershot from 1972 in which this lady married Malcolm Fletcher. This is a plausible record, but we don't know if it is relevant here, or not.
