The death of Mrs. Elizabeth Congram occurred in Wingham Hospital on Friday, June 24th, 1960. She was in her 87th year and had been in failing health for a lengthy period. Mrs. Congram was the former Elizabeth Waugh, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Waugh of Fullarton Township in Perth County where she was born on November 21st. 1873. Mrs. Congram taught school prior to her marriage to Mr. Congram, and they farmed in Ashfield Township, west of Lucknow for a number of years before retiring to Lucknow. Mr. Congram predeceased her several years ago. Funeral service at the MacKenzie Memorial Chapel by Rev. Gordon Geiger. Interment was in Greenhill Cemetery Stuart Robertson, V.A. Mowbray, Leonard MacDonald, Norman Taylor, Jim Henderson and Dr. James Little, as elders of the Presbyterian Church, acting as pallbearers. Mrs. Congram is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Wellington (Zetta) Henderson of Lucknow; one brother Les A. Waugh of Winnipeg; four granddaughters and seven great grand children.
