Thanks for adding the Find A Grave memorial #.

What is your evidence that William was the father of Mary (Waugh) Finley (abt.1748-abt.1804)? He would have been only 9 years old when she was born in 1748. The children mentioned in his Find A Grave memorial were born from 1770 to 1798. His wives were born in 1752 and 1753, after Mary Waugh-330 was born.

Hi Hart,

You sent me a comment that you intended to remove Mary as his daughter and do further research, but then you deleted the comment, and didn't remove her. What is your plan?

I see that the mother you've attached for Mary, is the wife of William Waugh (1739-1823) who currently has two profiles for which a merge has been proposed. William's wife, Elizabeth (Kinkead) Waugh (abt.1753-1823) was born in 1753, 5 years after Mary was born, so cannot possibly have been her mother.

I will detach Mary from both of them, and leave a Research Note on her profile, indicating that she was previously attached as their daughter.

Would you please include the Find A Grave memorial # as part of your source information. I don't find a Find A Grave memorial for a William Waugh who died in Pennsylvania in 1789.

Thanks!

Waugh-1011 and Waugh-787 appear to represent the same person because: same name, same death date, same spouse details, same son details

I don't believe this is the William Waugh who married Jean McClure. Also, he would have had to been previously married (at the age of 13) in order to be the father of William) Is any documentation available?
