Biography
Joshua married Lucinda Bishop. In 1850, they lived with their children on their farm in Union Township, Washington, Ohio. The household included Joshua, 40, born in Maryland, a farmer; his wife Lucinda, 35, born in Ohio; and their four sons, all born in Ohio : Charles, 14; George, 10; William G., 7; and Thomas, 2. The three older children were in school. [1]
In 1860, the Way family lived on their farm in Washington Township, Monroe, Ohio. The household included Joshua, 51, a farmer, with $1500 in real estate and $950 in personal estate; his wife Lucinda, 45; and their five children: George, 20; William, 17, farm laborers and students; Thomas, 11, in school; James, 9, in school; and Clara, 4. All members of the household were born in Ohio except for Joshua (who was born in Maryland). [2]

The household included Joshua, 62, a farmer, born in Maryland, with $3300 in real estate and $250 in personal estate; his wife Lucinda, 56, born in Ohio; and their three children, all born in Ohio: Thomas A., 22, a student; James E., 19, a student; and Clara, 14, in school. In 1880, the Way family lived on their farm in Washington, Ohio. The household included Joshua Way, 71, born in Ohio (father born in Ireland; mother b. Maryland), a farmer; his wife Lucinda, 65, b. PA (father b. Bavaria; mother b. PA); and their daughter, Clara, 24. Living on a neighboring farm was Thomas A. Way (son of Joshua and Lucinda Way) and his family: this household included Thomas A. Way, 31, a farmer, whose father was born in Maryland, and his mother was born in Ohio; his wife, Catherine, 29 (parents b. Ohio); and their daughter, Georgia, 3. [4]
