After the death of Mary Stebbins, John Way married Abigail Spofford/Spafford, daughter of Jonathan & Jemima (Freethy) Spofford/Spafford, on 27 Dec 1750 at Sharon, Litchfield, Connecticut[6] - parents of Samuel & Ann Way
Abigail Spofford was born 24 September 1720; she died 26 Feb 1806[7]
John Way was one of the first settlers of Haverhill New Hampshire. John and Abigail's children included: Lydia Way b 1756 m Ebenezer Sanborn; Rhoda Way b 1758 m Robert Barkley; Samuel Way b 1762; and Anna Way b 1765 m Job Moulton.
