George Way was born about 1818 in Gilston, Hertfordshire, England & baptised there 4th October 1818, the son of John & Mary Way.[1]

George Whey, full age, Bachelor, Labourer, of Gilson, (son of John Wey, Labourer) & Ann Thrake, under age, Spinster, Servant, of Gilston, (daughter of William Thrake, Labourer) were married 9th January 1841 in the Parish Church of Gilston, Hertfordshire, England according to the Rites and Ceremonies of the Church of England by John Nelson, Rector. George & Ann both made their mark. Witnesses were Thomas Whey & Susan Whey.[2][3]
